A very active and elegant catfish, recognisable by its long whiskers.

The Pimelodus pictus, or pictus catfish, is a magnificenttropical freshwater fish from South America, popular for its fast swimming and spotted pattern.

Behaviour & maintenance

An active, gregarious species, it should be kept in groups of at least 4 individuals in a 300 L aquarium with a steady flow of water.

Diet
