Neocaridina davidi “Golden Top” is a popular breed known for its bright yellow to golden colouring and lighter, luminous dorsal line (“top” effect). It adds a striking, contrasting touch to planted aquariums or shrimp-specific tanks.

1. Behaviour and maintenance

A calm, sociable and active species, to be kept in groups of at least 10 individuals to encourage natural behaviour and stable reproduction. It coexists well with peaceful fish and actively participates in tank maintenance by consuming microalgae, biofilm and food remains.

3. Feeding

Omnivorous: specific shrimp food, poached vegetables (courgette, spinach), dried leaves (catappa, nettle) and natural biofilm. A varied diet promotes intense colouring and good moulting.
