Hs Aqua Bacto Rings

HS aqua Bacto Rings is a perfect housing substrate for useful, water cleaning bacteria.  Because of its porous structure the material more beneficial bacteria can attach so that more water can be cleaned with less filter volume than with comparable other biofilter materials. Ammonium and nitrate decomposition takes place on the material and nitrate can even be broken down inside the material. Prevent cleaning of HS aqua Bacto Rings because otherwise the bacterial culture will be disturbed. To prevent contamination of the biological filter rings, use HS aqua Filterwool as prefilter material. To activate HS aqua Bacto Rings with the right bacteria, we recommend to use HS aqua Bacto Turbo.

HS aqua Bacto Rings can be used in biological filter installations for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

One package of 1000 ml of filter material is sufficient for 200 liters of aquarium water under normal circumstances. Before use, thoroughly rinse HS aqua Bacto Ring with tap water.
