Peaceful and refined Asian fish, ideal for planted aquariums

The pearl gourami (Trichopodus leerii) is one of the most elegant freshwater fish. Native to Southeast Asia, it is prized for its pearly, iridescent pattern and peaceful temperament. It is perfect for planted community aquariums.

Behavior & care

A calm, peaceful species that mixes well with other gentle, medium-sized fish. Provide an aquarium of at least 120 L with warm, soft water, gentle filtration and shaded areas. Use starter bacteria and check water values regularly with our Aquabota test kits.

Feeding

Omnivore: it enjoys flakes, pellets, daphnia and bloodworms. Offer a varied diet using our range of foods for tropical fish.
