Description
The UVB lamp promotes the production of Vitamin D3 and promotes calcium absorption.
Generally, UVB 2.0, 5.0 and 10.0 refer to the percentage of 2%, 5% and 10% UVB.
UVB 5.0 is applicable to reptiles living in tropical forests or subtropical zone, such as: star tortoise and other most tortoises.
It is suggested to match UVB light output with the specific needs of the reptile or amphibian.
Suitable to all reptiles with moderate requirements for ultraviolet ray in tropical and subtropical zones. UVB (5%) induces the activation of vitamin D3 that combines with calcium powder to promote the transformation of calcium in bone and blood (calcium absorption) UVA (30%) improves appetite, promotes animal’s activity to induce mating behavior.
It is recommended to be combined with fluorescent lamp UVB2.0.
The energy-saving lamp gives out moderate UVB, just as the ray in a shielded environment in a tropical rainforest.
The reptiles living in rainforest are rarely exposed to the ultraviolet ray radiation.
