The Endler "Yellow Half Tuxedo" Guppy is a superb variety descended from Poecilia wingei. It is distinguished by a bright yellow tail and a black "half dinner jacket" pattern on the back of the body. Very active and prolific, this miniature guppy is perfect for small, well-planted community aquariums.

Behaviour & care

Like all Endlers :

• Gregarious, peaceful and energetic
• Easy reproduction: females give live fry every 20-30 days
• Can cohabit with shrimps, snails and peaceful micro-fish

Diet

Omnivorous:

• Micro-flakes, pellets for small fish
• Artemia, microvers, daphnia (live or frozen)
• Spirulina and poached vegetables

• Temperature: 22 - 28°C
• pH: 6.8 - 7.8
• GH: 8 - 20 °dGH
• KH : 4 - 15 °KH
• Conductivity: 200 - 500 µS

This variety is hardy and adapts easily to tap water (moderate hardness).

Decor & environment

Preferences :

• Dark substrate to bring out the yellow colour
• Floating plants and Java moss for the fry
• Recommended volume: from 20-30 L for a small group
