The Endler Guppy(Poecilia wingei) is a species very similar to the classic guppy(Poecilia reticulata), but smaller and livelier. Native to Venezuela, this wild or slightly bred form is perfect for small planted aquariums and aquatic microfauna enthusiasts.

Behaviour and maintenance

This miniature fish is :

• Very active and sociable
• Non-aggressive, compatible with other peaceful microfish
• Extremely prolific: females give birth to live fry approximately every 3 weeks

Thrives in a well-balanced group (1 male to 2-3 females) with natural hiding places for young.

Omnivorous:

• Micro-flakes or pellets for small fish
• Supplements: artemia, daphnia, micro worms
• Spirulina, poached spinach or vegetable pellets

A varied diet ensures rapid growth and supports reproduction.
