Guppy Endler Tiger ♂/♀ (1.5-2.5 cm)
Bright, tabby micro-guppy - ideal for nano-aquariums and breeding.
The Endler Tiger Guppy is a variety descended from Poecilia wingei, renowned for its small size and contrasting black stripes reminiscent of a tiger's coat. This micro-guppy is particularly hardy, sociable and prolific, making it ideal for well-planted nano-bacs.
Behaviour & maintenance
Endler Tigers are :
- Gregarious: live in small groups
- Very active: they swim constantly, without being aggressive
- Spontaneous breeders: females give birth to live fry every 3-4 weeks.
Feeding
Omnivorous:
- Micro-flakes or pellets for small fish
- Supplements: artemia, microvers, daphnia
- Spirulina or poached vegetables to balance the diet
Water quality
- Temperature: 22 - 28°C
- pH: 6.8 - 7.8
- GH: 8 - 20 °dGH
- KH : 4 - 15 °KH
- Conductivity: 200 - 500 µS
Endlers are robust, but prefer well-oxygenated, slightly alkaline and mineralised water.
