Asian glass shrimp - transparent, calm and original
Macrobrachium sp. Glass is a wild shrimp native to South-East Asia. Completely transparent, it is distinguished by its iridescent reflections and peaceful behaviour. A fascinating species for community or special aquariums, ideal for observation.
Pacific and active both day and night. Digs in the substrate and cleans up food scraps. Maintain in groups of 5 or more in a planted tank with hiding places and shaded areas.
Omnivorous: microgranules, bottom pellets, plant debris, artemia, daphnia, etc. Discover our feeds for shrimps and invertebrates.

Reproduction possible in brackish water depending on the strain. Females carry several dozen translucent eggs until they hatch. Larvae often require low salinity to develop.
Compatible with small, quiet fish and dwarf shrimp (Neocaridina, Caridina). Avoid cichlids or predatory species. Excellent cleaning aid in community tanks.
