Mountain Pleco - robust grazer from the Rio Orinoco
The Chaetostoma thomasi (L146) is a loricariid native to the Orinoco basin. It prefers cool, clear, well-oxygenated waters. An excellent grazer of algae, it is a peaceful and hardy species.
1. Behaviour & maintenance
Calm, gregarious: should be kept in groups of 3 or more in a 150 L+ tank with a strong current and rocky areas.

Herbivorous: algae, spirulina, vegetable pellets, poached courgette, food for herbivorous bottom-dwelling fish.
