The Polypterus Senegalus 5-6cm(Polypterus senegalus) is presented in our freshwater world. It is suitable for well-equipped aquariums.

Behaviour & care

A calm, gregarious species from Central America / breeding, it appreciates a stable, well-filtered, oxygenated aquarium. Provide a volume of at least 80 L (group). Use starter bacteria and check your parameters regularly with water tests.

Diet

Omnivorous, this species accepts flakes, pellets and natural foods. Vary your ration with our specially adapted foods to support colour and vitality. For dense planting, consider aquarium fertilisers.

• GH: 6 - 12 °dGH
• KH: 3 - 8 °KH
• Conductivity: 150 - 400 µS

Before use, treat the water with a water conditioner. Efficient filtration(suitable filters) and regular maintenance(maintenance equipment) guarantee a healthy environment.
