Majestic African Tetra with iridescent blue reflections

The Phenacogrammus interruptus, or Congo Tetra, is a magnificenttropical freshwater fish native to the Congo River. Its shimmering colours and peaceful behaviour make it the species of choice for community aquariums.

Behaviour & maintenance

A gregarious, calm species, it should be kept in groups of at least 8 individuals in a plant-rich aquarium of at least 200 litres with good filtration.

Diet

Omnivorous: flakes, pellets, artemia, daphnia and bloodworms. Discover our food for tropical fish.
